On 14th September, we’re bringing a piece of Sarawak to Kuala Lumpur — not simply to tell you about another visa or remote-work programme, but to open up a conversation about what it actually feels like to make Sarawak part of your life.

In a traditional Sarawak longhouse, the ruai is the shared space.It is where people gather, talk, exchange stories and welcome others in.
That is the spirit we want to bring into this session.
Instead of three hours of presentations, expect a small room of people sharing questions, experiences and possibilities around one idea:
Could Sarawak be somewhere you don’t just visit — but actually live, work and belong for a while?
So, How Different Is It From West Malaysia?
That is exactly what we want to explore.
What happens when your remote-work base is closer to rainforest than another shopping district?
How does your daily rhythm change?
What communities do you find?
What does it mean to spend more time in Kuching — and then have the rest of Sarawak and Borneo sitting beyond it?
And perhaps most importantly:
What do you only understand after you have actually tried living there?

We want to keep this gathering small enough for real conversations.
The session is intended primarily for international remote professionals, freelancers, founders and digital talent currently living, travelling or working remotely from Malaysia who are genuinely curious about spending more time in Sarawak.
Seats are limited up to 20 international participants.
Registrations will be reviewed before seats are confirmed so we can keep the room relevant, diverse and conversational.
Submitting your registration does not automatically guarantee a seat. Selected participants will receive a confirmation from us before the event.

- Who this is for – This session is designed for international passport holders currently living, travelling, or working remotely in Malaysia. We are reviewing registrations to make sure the room is a good fit for everyone attending
- Limited seats – We’re keeping this cozy – just up to 20 international participants – so registering doesn’t automatically mean you’re in. We’ll send you a confirmation email once your seat is secured, so please hold off on any travel or schedule plans until you hear from us.
- A quick review first – We go through registrations to keep the conversation relevant and the room nicely mixed. We reserve the right to confirm, waitlist, or kindly decline registrations at our discretion.
