Remote Work Malaysia, together with the Fukuoka Government, is looking for promising Malaysian startups to represent Malaysia at Ramen Tech 2026 one of Japan’s leading startup and innovation events.

How It Works
Step 1 — Submit Your Application
Complete the application form before 10 August 2026.
Step 2 — Finalist Selection
Our panel will review all applications and select the Top 4 startups. The finalists will be announced on: 24 August 2026
Step 3 — Live Pitch Finals
The Top 4 startups will pitch live to a judging panel comprising representatives from:
Pitch Day
7 September 2026 (5 minute pitch + 10 minute Q&A)
(This pitching event will be held at WORQ Bandar Utama).
Details will be sent to the finalists
The winner will be announced following the live pitch session.
The Winning Startup Will Receive
🏆 A sponsored trip to Ramen Tech Global Summit 2026 in Fukuoka, Japan, including:
- ✈️ Return economy flight (Kuala Lumpur ⇄ Fukuoka) (1 Pax)

Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for startups that:
- Are based in Malaysia
- Have an innovative product, service or technology
- Are interested in exploring the Japanese market
- Are looking for market validation, partnerships or business opportunities in Japan
- Can commit to attend the pitching event and attend Ramen Tech 2026 in Fukuoka

Terms & Conditions
- Applications close on 10 August 2026 at 0000h (Malaysia Time).
- Applicants must represent a Malaysian-registered startup or be based in Malaysia.
- Participants must hold a valid passport and be eligible to travel to Japan.
- Finalists must be available to attend the live pitch session in person on 7 September 2026.
- The prize is valid for one (1) representative from the winning startup only and is not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
- Flights, hotel accommodation, event registration, and programme inclusions will be arranged by the organisers. Any additional expenses (including meals, local transportation, travel insurance, visa fees if applicable, and personal expenses) are the responsibility of the participant unless otherwise stated.
- Winners are responsible for ensuring they meet all entry requirements for Japan, including passport validity and any immigration or travel requirements.
- Business matching sessions are subject to the availability of participating organisations and suitable business opportunities.
- By applying, participants agree that their company name, logo, photographs, and pitch-related content may be used by the organisers for promotional purposes related to this programme.
- Remote Work Malaysia reserves the right to verify all submitted information and to disqualify applications that contain false or misleading information.
- The judging panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence regarding the results will be entertained.
- Remote Work Malaysia reserves the right to amend the programme, judging criteria, timeline, or prize details if necessary. Any changes will be communicated through the official programme channels.
